During this workshop you will choose your leather from a set range of colours, then in our unique learning environment you will design, decorate, measure, cut, stitch and finish the item. You will make the same shape, size and basic design of a Johny Todd book cover.

DIMENSIONS:
When the cover is laid flat it is Approx. H23.2cm x W35cm
It is slightly over A5 in size when holding the A5 book insert.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

All workshops need to be booked in advance and payment will be taken at the time of booking.

You are welcome to bring your own packed lunch, although there are food venues located in town and near to our studio. Facilities to make hot or cold beverage are provided on site.

All day parking is available near our premises, but not onsite.

HEALTH & SAFETY:

Please do not wear open-toe shoes. Sharp tools may be used throughout the workshop. Health and safety information will be provided prior to the session.

DISCLAIMER:

Please note that while we will ensure you are kept on task during the session, and have every confidence that you will complete the task set if instructions are followed, a guarantee for this is not possible, as your own working speed will determine your results. You may need to use needles and thread for a relatively prolonged period during this workshop. We provide a specific amount of top quality leather per person, so that at the end of the course you will (hopefully) have made your very own unique book cover. Needles and thread, for home finishing if necessary, are available to buy on the workshop session day too.
